Using some of the oldest hardware I have, the buckle is as early as 17th century. The nurses belt buckle on the flap is 1800s and the brooch on top is early 1900s. I've contrast the inside with very bright isometric fabric and a beautiful turquoise blue leather for sturdiness. New hardware is rainbow coloured steel and I've also used pure copper and brass rivets.
